Level 3 Commissioned Officer Tuition: $120.00 - Range fees included Requalification: $60 - Range fees included This course is required by the Texas Department of Public Safety-Regulatory Services Division to anyone wanting to work as a commissioned (armed) private security officer in the state of Texas. In accordance with Chapter 1702 of the Texas Occupations Code and RSD rules, this course must be completed, to be able to issue a “Commissioned” (armed) security officer license. The Level 3 course is the next step in the journey to become a Security Professional. This is a hands-on course that requires the student to properly demonstrate the defensive maneuvers, patrol procedures, and handcuffing techniques. Security Tactics academy offers a convenient way to complete the training requirements to receive a LTC/CHL from the Texas Department of Public Safety. We offer Saturday classes, and, upon request, day and evening classes during the week. Upon successful completion of the class and submission of the application materials, the state will issue you a license as soon as 30 days.
