This course is required by the Texas Department of Public Safety-Regulatory Services Division to anyone wanting to work as a commissioned (armed) private security officer in the state of Texas. In accordance with Chapter 1702 of the Texas Occupations Code and RSD rules, this course must be completed, to be able to issue a “Commissioned” (armed) security officer license.

The Level 3 course is the next step in the journey to become a Security Professional. This is a hands-on course that requires the student to properly demonstrate the defensive maneuvers, patrol procedures, and handcuffing techniques. The student must also be able to demonstrate proficiency with a firearm. Students will receive their Level III Certificate upon successful completion of this course.
